BACKGROUND INFO:
Old School Studios opened in January 2006 on Northgate St in Bury St Edmunds, moving in May 2006 to St Andrews St South (also in Bury St Edmunds), where we custom designed & built the studio, which opened in September 2006. We moved to Glebe Farm near Norwich in late June 2008. Old School Studios is run by me, Jason. I've been promoting gigs for many years. Over 1000 in all, including 275+ gigs in Bury St Edmunds & Norwich from 2002-2009 under the name "Planet Beet", and I've been in bands such as Freeboy (my first Radio One play, in 1996), The Secret Hairdresser & Animal Planet. I also have a few solo projects (Mr Jason & The Covert Stylist) and release CDs by all these bands/acts and others, on my own little record label "Lap Records". I'm currently in a band called The Deets. About 25 of my songs have been played on BBC Radio One, under the names Freeboy, Porthole, The Secret Hairdresser, Animal Planet, Mr Jason, and The Deets, and possibly some more that I've chosen to forget about, hehe.
I've been recording my own music for the last 26 years, since I was about 10, and I've been recording other bands and artistes for over 20 years. I started on a mono cassette recorder, moving on to 4 track & 8 track cassettes, 8, 16 & 24 track reel-to-reel, 8 & 24 track ADAT digital recorders and finally I've settled on PC based digital recording and vintage analogue equipment, including 3 reel to reel tape machines. I've recorded demos and records/CDs for loads of bands, a large number of which have had national airplay on BBC Radio One. I've been promoting local gigs since I was 16 (putting on literally thousands of bands sofar), and have done that and sound engineering for a living for the last 14 years. I'm 36 in case you were trying to work it out, hehe..

CLIENT LIST
I've recorded nearly 200 bands in Old School Studios sofar, and done over 70 gig recordings. Lots of these bands come back again and again; which is nice. :o)
