ANIMAL PLANET were a 3-4 piece garage-rock group from Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk, UK. the band was based around Jason (drums & vocals) & his little sister Tasha (bass-synth & vocals). They still sort of exist as an idea, and have a huge backlogue of amazing songs that Jason & Tash plan to record eventually.

So, it doesn't take a rocketship to work out who Mr Jason is... It's my outlet for my solo home demos. Some of these songs have ended up being played by The Deets, The Secret Hairdresser, or Animal Planet, or even all three.

The Covert Stylist is the electro noodlings of one Mr Jason, who also happens to be in all the other Lap Records acts, and who also happens to be me.

THE SECRET HAIRDRESSER were the best 5 piece, boy/girl, 4-part harmonising, audience-participation, hand-clapping, miaoowing, instrument-swapping, indie-rock sooper-groop in the entire animal kingdom.
