the secret hairdresser was the best miaoowing, mooging, hand-clapping, boy-girl, indie-rock, 3-6 piece band in the whole animal kingdom on & off from late 1999 to early 2004. the band had an ever changing, revolving (or revolting?) & evolving lineup based around multi-instrumentalist songwriter jason. in the 4 years since tsh stopped, there has been a huge amount of bands using the tsh blueprint, whether they realise it or not. you can't turn on the tv or radio now without hearing slightly quirky indie-pop/rock with handclaps, moog-style synth, and boy-girl vocals.
